Meet the team

Michael was doing parkour back in the ‘80’s, before it was a ‘thing’; his background in gymnastics and martial arts made him a natural. His inspiration was the godfather of parkour, Jackie Chan.
He began coaching bootcamp-style classes almost 15 years ago on Vancouver island. Over time, this endeavor grew into working with numerous parks and rec programs, various schools, and several youth initiatives, including the RCMP sponsored drug prevention program.
By the time the Kleyn family moved to Penticton in 2018, Michael had vision for an exclusive parkour gym, which was finally realized in Jan 2020. His standard of excellence has made the gym what it is today.
When not at the gym working on a new project, you might find Michael in a hot tub, going out for wings night, sleeping in a snow cave in the mountains with his kids (not wife🥶), or getting beat by his wife in pretty much any card game. His arch nemesis is cold water.

BUSINESS MANAGER / OWNER
Heather is responsible for pioneering the ‘behind the scenes’ at Ethos Parkour and makes the business management and administrative world go ‘round. She is the friendly person on the other side of the email, text, or phone call, or, on Saturday mornings, the front desk😊
When Heather isn’t creating an invoice, responding to an email, or getting caught up with QuickBooks, you are likely to find her attending too many fitness classes, sitting in the hot tub with Michael, playing soccer, going for coffee with a friend, washing dishes at home for hours, or spending time with her family💙

Savayre brings a warm, playful energy to the Parkour team that kids instantly connect with. His easy-going coaching style helps young athletes feel welcome, confident, and ready to move. Originally from Vancouver, Savayre loves staying active through camping, biking, and fitness, and he’s just as comfortable cooking up something great in the kitchen as he is leading a class. His calm presence and love for adventure make him a natural fit for Parkour and a favorite among students.

We so appreciate all Selah does to make our parkour camps amazing! When she’s not racing around the gym whipping dodge balls at the boys, you might find her paddle boarding on Skaha, playing piano in her room for hours, star gazing on a clear night while camping, or spending too much money at the mall…😬

Coach Manda
LITTLES COACH
Manda brings a big heart and playful energy to the Parkour team, with a passion for supporting and inspiring young minds. As an education assistant for elementary students and a kids’ soccer coach, she’s all about creating fun, safe spaces for growth and movement. A longtime Okanagan local since 2006, Manda loves winding down with Minecraft, all things Kirby, and quality time with her three cats, dog, and partner. When she’s not coaching or in the classroom, you’ll probably find her hanging out at the Dream Café, soaking in good vibes and community spirit.

Reo is a powerhouse on the Parkour team, known for his skill, drive, and leadership. He’s been training at Ethos Parkour for several years, rising quickly through the ranks thanks to his passion and dedication. Now a coach and national Parkour champion, Reo brings strength and focus to every session. Outside the gym, he’s into weightlifting, rugby, and recently returned from an unforgettable trip to Japan. His experience and energy make him both a role model and an inspiration to younger athletes.

PARTY / CAMP COACH
Elijah brings high energy and creativity to the Parkour team with a background that blends movement, music, and performance. A multi-instrumentalist who plays piano, guitar, and trumpet, Elijah also thrives on stage and in front of the camera as an actor. His love for running, jumping, and dancing makes Parkour a natural fit—he even takes dance classes and performs in places like Kelowna. On weekends, you’ll often find him out dirt biking with his brother and dad, pushing his limits and embracing adventure in every form.

PARTY / CAMP COACH
Emaya has been part of the Ethos fam since the early days - and now she is crushing it as one of our amazing coaches!
Her kind, sweet and upbeat energy makes her a total camp favourite (for both staff and kids). She has a special way of connecting with everyone, and brings so much fun to every class, camp, and birthday party.
When she's not jumping around the gym, you might catch her competing in the Miss Penticton competition, cruising around town on her electric scooter with friends, going to youth group, or heading off on a fun family adventure!
